What did I get from my wife this holiday season?
Google Pixel 3 XL 128GB w/ Project Fi
Okay, it’s expensive but I haven’t changed phones in over 3 years. I was long overdue and this phone takes awesome pictures. Good enough to sell in stock photography in fact. It’s also paired with the best phone plan made for travelers, Project Fi – Project Fi works great all around the world. It’s blazing fast in Russia and equally strong in South America – Read about my Project Fi Experience. Get $20 when switching to Project Fi.

What did I get my wife?
Apple iPhone XR 256 Gb
She’s got a little bit more of an eclectic taste than I do and iPhones are her thing so that’s what she got. Toe to toe with the Google Pixel it takes better photos. Heck, all the Apple iPhones I know, produce some of the best photos. I’m just not an Apple fan, but my wife is so that balances it out. Best of all, Project Fi now works on iPhones as well!

Just gifted the Pro packing cubes to a good friend and she was ecstatic about it! She said it was the best gift she got in the last 5 years so thanks a lot for the suggestion! I also got myself a nice little gift, the GOOLOO quick charge; I couldn’t resist it :).
Can’t go wrong with Packing Cubes!
Wow, you really are a life saver. My wife loves travelling; as her birthday is fast approaching, I didnt know what to give her but your article gave me all I wanted.
The power adapter kit is always a good idea. I can recall few situations when being desperately in need for one. :)
I’m not into camping and hammocks but would definitely try that scarf with zip pocket. That’s one accessory that I use often, scarf I mean, and it would be great if it could resolve the ever posing question – where to put my passport. :D
Thanks for the list, there are some really useful things here.
Travel gadgets for the travel crazed :)
Uhm, that carry-on cocktail kit has my name written all over it! Such a fun gift idea, and lots of great tips on the list! :) Definitely bookmarking for later!
Don’t go to the party, take the party with you!
Great list and variet of gifts for any type of traveler. I literally just yelled downstairs to Darcee to add the Carry On Cocktail Kits to our Wedding Registry because when we finally leave for our honeymoon after Christmas, I would love to celebrate on our plane and pretend that we are first class without the first class costs!! haha
It kind of sounds silly but I loved the electric travel toothbrush too. I use one at home but always take a manual with me cause I don’t want to break my nice one. Plus the nice ones tend to be bulky and heavy and a pain in the butt to recharge. SO this would be a great fix.
I carry my electric toothbrush with me during my extended trips. It definitely helps when you can’t visit a dentist every 3 months!
I got my husband an ultralight hammock before we went camping this summer! Even though we had a cushy set up in the tent, it was SO much fun to hang out in it and enjoy the forrest – and the kids thought it was the coolest thing ever.
The hammock is an awesome gift!
I am all about the packing cubes! I have many of these items and can attest they are awesome for travelers! I am always looking for a coffee system so love the Espro thing – check that out!
I love the Espro for camping and on road trips!
This is truly a helpful and great gift guide. As a digital nomad, Im loving the adapter kit (plus extension cord) and coffee press. Need better coffee on the road. Great suggestion. Thank you!
Thanks!
What an amazing list, Adonis! I wish I had seen this around November, last year, hahaha! I had no idea there is an Expresso Coffee Press. That’s one thing that we always miss when we travel. The power adapter kit is something. everybody should have also. Thanks for sharing these great ideas.
Can’t go wrong with a coffee press :)
We are always looking for unique gifts. The travel coffee press may be something we need to look at. We have indeed had some pretty nasty coffee at hotels. I have been waffling over the Moment lenses for my iPhone. Maybe I should just bite the bulllet. Some great things on this list as we head towards Christmas.
I love iPhone lenses! What an awesome invention. Great for extending the iPhone for travel photography :)
I looove your list. Found this while looking for a gift for her upcoming birthday. She is a big adventurer and would love to own a curated box of these items. Now you’re giving me a great idea.
Birthdays, Christmas, anniversaries, these gift ideas are great for any type of traveler!
What a great compilation of useful stuffs for travel! The infinity scarf with zip pocket is new to me. The electronic tooth brush too looks cool. Ideal stuffs for gifting.
I have an electric toothbrush and a travel water flosser :)
